Schecter Omen-7 Diamond Series, a review.

The Schecter Omen-7 Diamond Series Guitar Review.

The Schector Omen-7 guitar is a 7 string electric guitar. It's features are: basswood body with a 26 1/2" maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. String-thru-body design at the bridge. Stock Schecter passive pickups, a 3 way pick up switch, and also master controls and tone pots. You'll see these going for $480-$600 brand new if you can find them.

I picked up what I'd like to call "this gem" a few months ago before Christmas, and though it was a lot of money burning through my pocket for a spur of the moment type of buy, it was all worth it in the end. First thing I would do, depending on your style of guitar playing, is probably getting new pickups. I haven't yet, but though I like the stock, I find them not clean enough for my liking.

This is is a great guitar for that metal band you've always wanted to make, or that jazz trio you want to show off to. This guitar is very versatile in the sense that you can play virtually anything you want, but with one extra octave of string lower. If you are just a beginner venturing the dark side of the 7 string guitar world, and you're looking for a quality made guitar for a quantity made price, I say go for this guitar. I don't see myself getting any other 7-string anything soon.

My rate for this product: 4/5
